Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out the conditions on which ProSolve Ltd, trading as DatSov, supplies hardened devices and secure services. It applies to every Sovereign Phone customer and to anyone who uses a device or service we have supplied.

You accept this policy when you request a device. Accepting it is a condition of supply: we cannot approve a request without it, and we may suspend or terminate service if it is breached. The version you accepted is recorded against your file, so that what you agreed to is a matter of record rather than recollection. This is version datsov-aup-2026-07-31.

We are direct about why this exists. We sell equipment designed to keep communications private. That is a legitimate need for the people we serve — executives, principals, journalists, family offices and their advisers — and it is also a capability that people with unlawful intentions would like to buy. Suppliers who ask nothing and check nothing have been prosecuted for exactly that. We ask, and we check.

You may use a DatSov device and the services attached to it only for lawful purposes. You must comply with the law of the United Kingdom and with the law of any country in which you use the device.

You must not use a device or service supplied by DatSov to:

• Commit, plan, facilitate, or conceal a criminal offence.
• Handle, move, or disguise the proceeds of crime, or finance terrorism.
• Harass, stalk, threaten, defraud, extort, or intimidate any person.
• Distribute unlawful material, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities without exception.
• Obtain unauthorised access to any computer, network, account, or data.
• Breach sanctions, export controls, or trade restrictions that apply to you, to us, or to the equipment.
• Infringe another person's intellectual property or misappropriate confidential information.

Nothing in this policy asks you to explain your lawful private communications to us, and we do not monitor the content of your communications. We are not technically able to: the architecture is zero-knowledge by design, which is the point of it. This policy governs conduct, not correspondence.

A device is supplied to the verified individual named on the approved request. You may let members of your household, your staff, or your colleagues use a device you have been supplied, provided you remain responsible for how it is used and they are made aware of this policy.

You must not:

• Resell, hire out, or commercially redistribute DatSov devices without our prior written agreement.
• Supply a device to anyone you know or suspect intends to use it unlawfully.
• Supply a device to a person or organisation subject to sanctions, or export one to a destination for which it has not been screened.
• Provide false, incomplete, or borrowed identity information when requesting a device, or request a device on behalf of an undisclosed third party.

If you want to buy devices for a team, a family office, or a client group, tell us. Fleet supply is something we do routinely and we will scope it properly, including who the responsible person is for each device.

Before we supply a device we verify your identity and screen your details against published sanctions, politically-exposed-person, and adverse-media sources. Orders shipping outside the United Kingdom are additionally screened for export eligibility and against denied-party lists. No payment is taken before that process concludes.

You agree to give accurate information and to complete verification. You agree to tell us if your circumstances change materially — in particular a change of country of residence or shipping destination, or your becoming subject to a sanctions designation or a criminal investigation relating to the matters in Section 2.

We may re-screen you periodically for as long as we provide you with a service. We may decline a request, and we are not always able to explain why. A decision to decline is not an accusation.

Once a device is in your hands, its physical security is yours. We ask that you keep it under your control, use the passphrase and lock settings configured at handover rather than weakening them, and apply the updates we issue.

Tell us promptly if a device is lost, stolen, seized, or you believe it has been tampered with, so we can help you respond. We would rather hear about it early than tidily.

We are honest about the two risks we cannot engineer away, and this policy is the right place to repeat them: the hardware supply chain, and physical coercion of the person holding the device. Anyone who tells you their phone is unhackable is selling you something we are not.

We may suspend or terminate the DatSov Secure Service, and decline to supply you further, if we reasonably believe that you have breached this policy, that you gave us false information in order to obtain a device, that you have become subject to sanctions, or that continuing to supply you would put us in breach of the law.

Where it is lawful and appropriate to do so, we will tell you and give you an opportunity to respond. Where the law prevents us from telling you, we will not.

Suspension of the service does not disable the device you own, and we cannot remotely access, unlock, or wipe it. Suspension means we stop providing management, updates, and support, and it ends any recurring service billing.

We comply with valid legal process. We will respond to a lawful, properly served request from a competent authority, and where we are permitted to notify you, we will.

We may update this policy. Each version carries its own identifier, and the version you accepted is the version recorded against your file. Where a change materially affects your obligations we will notify existing customers and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the new version.
